Blue Heron is the perfect ‘get away from it all’ holiday destinations. Located on one of Antigua’s secluded, white sand beaches, the hotel is intimate and friendly, and like all Rex resorts, is right on a spectacular beach. An offshore reef makes the beach particularly good for scuba diving and snorkelling.

Blue Heron is ideal for a romantic getaway, honeymoon or just to spend some quality time together. While other resorts in the group welcome families and children of all ages, this resort is for adults only.

In the evenings guests can enjoy delicious food and authentic Caribbean entertainment. Once the sun has gone down, the Heron Restaurant plays host to a buffet of delicious creole cuisine, alongside international favourites. The lively Poolside Bar overlooking the sea is the perfect setting for the essential cocktail sundowner, whilst after dinner, the Everglades Lounge is a great place to relax and take in some traditional Antiguan culture.

Eating out

You are welcome to dine out at one of our other resorts in Antigua and the staff at reception will be happy to make a reservation for you. Why not try Warri Pier at Halcyon Cove? Located on its own jetty in the sea, Warri Pier is the perfect place for a special evening out.  Il Vigento su Mare at Hawksbill specialises in Italian cuisine and lobster, but reservations are essential as the restaurant does not open every night.

Evening dress code

At Blue Heron we dress for dinner (smart-casual), and men must wear collared shirts and long trousers in all bars and restaurants in the evening. Please feel free to wear t-shirts, shorts and beach wraps at breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

Blue Heron, now for adults only, is an intimate hideaway, perfect for the honeymooning couple or wedding party. Situated on the sands of one of Antiguas best and safest beaches the hotel is small and friendly, offering personal service and a calm atmosphere in which to unwind and enjoy one anothers company.
