This is an all Villa property, built maisonette style and the complex benefits from fabulous views over the village's port and the wonderful Aegean Sea. This friendly, family-run complex is the ideal place for relaxing holidays in idyllic surroundings and in an area steeped in history. A unique mix of entertainment with archaeological sites, museums, nightlife and shopping of Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos closeby.
Golden Villa's small and intimate complex provides 21 individual villas, 4 apartments and comfortable public facilities with excellent attention to detail in a modern structure whilst retaining the typical Cretan feel and neo-classical style.
Main Complex
Reception with lobby bar, restaurant, cafeteria, and mini-market for supplies. There is a communal fresh water swimming pool and a separate children's pool for the little ones too.
The apartments are situated on the 1st floor. Each apartment consists of bedroom & living room and all are equipped with direct dial telephone, air-conditioning units, two televisions, safety deposit box, kitchenette with refrigerator and coffeemaker, as well as a bathroom with bathtub, hairdryer and telephone. The apartments offer two large balconies with panoramic sea views.
Individual Villas
These fantastic villas are truly what the location is all about; 13 of which have their own private freshwater pool
• 13 split level villas each for 2-4 people with private fresh water pool (one per unit).
• 8 split level villas each for 2-4 people with shared fresh water pool (one per two units).
Entrance to the villas is on the upper floor and consists of a bedroom with double bed, television and bathroom with shower, including Turkish bath ‘Hammam’ and toilet, hairdryer and bathrobes, telephone and balcony. A tiled staircase leads down to the combined living room/kitchen on the ground floor and is equipped with television, open-fire place, refrigerator and coffeemaker. Leading out to a terrace with relaxing loungers and chairs and with direct access to the private or shared pool. All villas feature a movable terrace fence for the pools.
Food and Beverage Outlet
In the restaurant and the open-air tavern ''Eleonas'' serves authentic Cretan cuisine. Meals are prepared in the traditional way, cooked on the open fire, grill or in the wood burning kiln.
We are proud of our culinary traditions, ingredients used to flavour meals and sweets are Cretan natural products, giving to each plate a unique aroma and taste.
Hersonissos
Hersonisos boasts a number of sandy beaches all along the coast, while several lovely small coves can be found both to the west at the area of Anissaras as well as to the east near Stalis. There are several smaller pebble beaches east of Hersonissos. There is great swimming and snorkelling on many beautiful beaches locally and also several beaches offer a good selection of watersports.
The harbour of Hersonissos is famous for its night life as there are many bars, restaurants and taverns next to the beach.
Great shopping can be found in Hersonissos, where a large number of shops with jewels, clothing, souvenirs and local trinkets and of course many places to rent cars or bikes. Daily cruises are also organised to the neighbouring island of Dia and many other small islets and beaches in the area.
